Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost for a first time visit?
The cost of a first time dental cleaning depends on several factors, including the time required and the level of care needed. The cost for new patient appointments typically ranges from $350 to $500, give or take, depending on the treatment required. New patient visits reflect the time and attention given to providing quality care, which includes a new patient comprehensive exam, gum measurements and assessment, and dental X-rays as needed. We follow the New Brunswick Dental Hygiene yearly fee guide to ensure fair and standardized pricing. The cost for subsequent appointments is less than the new patient visit, as the new patient assessment is only completed at the initial appointment.
Do I need to break up with my dentist?
Absolutely not! We strongly recommend maintaining regular visits with your dentist and scheduling an annual dental exam. During your appointment, our dental hygienist will thoroughly document and inform you of any areas of concern in your oral health. With your consent, we can refer you to your dentist or other healthcare providers for further evaluation. If you don't currently have a dentist, we work closely with several dental professionals in the area and would be happy to recommend one based on your specific needs.
Will my dentist be upset that I’m getting my dental cleaning at your clinic?
No. The power is in your hands when it comes to choosing your dental hygienist. You have the right to choose the healthcare professional taking care of your oral health. You can choose your dental hygienist whether they practice for a dentist or practice independently. Having the same dental hygienist at each visit can provide extra level of comfort and effective care. Visit the Canadian Dental Hygiene Association’s (CDHA) website to view the “Client’s Bill of Rights”.

Does my insurance cover your services?
Of course! If you have coverage through your group plan insurance, you'll receive the same benefits as you would at a dentist’s office.
Most insurance plans also cover our travel fee. For your convenience, we offer direct billing to most major insurance companies. Please note that if we direct bill to your insurance, we are not responsible if the payment does not process on the day of your appointment.

Will my visit be covered by the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)?

In addition, this plan does not cover the travel fee. For new patients, the remaining balance is typically between $50–$80, depending on the treatment provided.
Am I a good candidate for teeth whitening?
You may be a good candidate if you have healthy teeth and gums with no fillings/crowns/veneers on the teeth that are visible when you smile. The whitening product will only change shade on natural teeth. To achieve the best possible outcome, we suggest getting a professional dental cleaning before your whitening treatment.
Is teeth whitening covered under insurance?
In most cases, teeth whitening is considered a cosmetic treatment and is not covered under standard dental insurance plans. However, it is always best to check with your insurance provider to confirm their coverage policies, as some plans cover the travel fee portion of this service.
How much does professional teeth whitening session cost?
Professional teeth whitening sessions
(initial and touch-ups) start at $200 each plus a $30 travel fee for our mobile clinic Please note that whitening is considered a cosmetic treatment and is not covered under insurance plans. We can attempt to direct bill the travel fee portion, as some insurance plans do cover this cost. We may be able to complete a whitening session during your dental cleaning appointment, but this cannot always be guaranteed as it depends on the time available.
How long does whitening treatment last?
Teeth whitening isn’t permanent. By following some simple post-whitening care instructions, your teeth will always be lighter than they were before. The treatment can last up to a few months to two years – it varies from patient to patient and is dependent on many factors (coffee, tea, red wine, smoking etc.) Some patients book a touch-up every few months and others once a year.
Is your van wheelchair accessible?
At the moment, our mobile dental clinic is not fully wheelchair accessible. However, we are actively working on solutions to improve accessibility and appreciate your patience as we make these enhancements. In the meantime, we have portable equipment that allows us to accommodate patients with physical limitations inside their homes or other accessible spaces. Our goal is to ensure that everyone receives the care they need comfortably and conveniently.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
We value your time so please respect ours and let us know at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Failure to provide 24-hour notice for cancellation will result in a 75$ fee.
Why do I need to give my credit card information to secure my appointment?

Since we are travelling to your location, this practice is essential for managing our schedule effectively and minimizing last-minute cancellations and no-shows. Rest-assured your credit card information is stored securely in our payment processor and is used only for this purpose.
